To measure the degree of reduction in the wood fired kilns, I fired a set of glaze samples in a capsule (with a piece of coal for additional reduction).In the following picture are the results of the capsule (inner side) and of the kiln (outer side) shown.

3: Local Loess Glaze
4: Pinell Celadon Base
5: Ash9
6: Ash5
7: Seladon CEL4
8: Seladon G8
9: Ash5
10: Seladon CEL3
11: Blue Gray Chun
Obviously the ceramic is stronger reduced in the capsule, probably during the cooling phase, which is normally more neutral or slightly reducing in the kiln. The colors of the kiln samples however are more like the expected/predicted results.
