Here now my conclusions:
– The selection of the right ball clay seems to have more influence on the flashing effect than the Kaolin brand.
– Zirconium Silicate and Borax are better flux than Nepheline Syenite.
– Extra iron results in more brown than red.
Finally, I decided for slip 1 (left in the pictures), even if slip 5 (right in first picture) is even more flashing. Slip 1 however shows a more interesting surface when hit by flying ash.
